When are the job sites going global?

Finding staff is big business. There are dozens of recruitment websites helping connect employers to job seekers. Some of the global giants include: Indeed, Monster, Google Jobs, and ZipRecruiter.

But all of these websites still focus on local jobs.

Despite being international job sites with millions of roles across the globe, they still limit US employers seeking US staff and UK employers seeking UK staff.

When will the big job sites open their search filters to go global? Yes, some job sites now specialize in location-independent remote jobs, but they are still the minnows

Instant global reach

With a simple flick of a switch, these giant job marketplaces can open up the filters to display all jobs and candidates globally. This might not be as useful if you are looking for a plumber or electrician, but it would be a great help if you are looking for most other roles (accountants, developers, marketers, architects etc.).

With the boom in remote work, employers now realize that they can hire people sitting anywhere, from any country. And many of these people will work for significantly less. In the Philippines, for example, employment costs are 70% cheaper!

They say: “Talent is equally distributed, but opportunity is not.”
