Outsource Accelerator Launches 2026 Outsourcing Impact Review (OIR): 1,182 Verified Activities

The first independently verified, source-linked index of the outsourcing industry’s social impact, spanning 191 firms across 48 countries, with rankings that cannot be bought
MANILA, PHILIPPINES – October 6, 2026 — Outsource Accelerator today launched the 2026 Outsourcing Impact Review (OIR), the first independently verified, source-linked index of the social and environmental work done by the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry, documenting 1,182 activities across 191 firms in 48 countries.
The index, available now at csr.outsourceaccelerator.com, gives buyers, journalists, and researchers a single public record of corporate social responsibility (CSR) work that until now was scattered across company reports and rarely verified. Every activity links to its primary source, and 1,181 of the 1,182 carry a verified badge confirmed against that live source.
“For years the outsourcing industry has done an enormous amount of good and gotten almost none of the credit,” said Derek Gallimore, founder and chief executive of Outsource Accelerator. “The Outsourcing Impact Review is the first time that work is collected, verified against its source, and put on a record anyone can check. The rankings are editorial, and they will never be for sale.”
Key findings from the 2026 Outsourcing Impact Review
- 1,181 of 1,182 logged activities (99.9%) are verified against a live primary source, such as a company report, regulatory filing, or news account.
- The top 10 firms account for 28.6% of all measured impact.
- Breadth of impact across categories predicts a firm’s standing better than its headcount does.
- Community work leads at 31% of all activities, followed by education and skills at 26% and environment at 20%.
- The United States (364 activities), India (259), the Philippines (160), and the United Kingdom (57) are the largest national footprints.
Two leaderboards, no pay-to-play
The OIR ranks firms on two leaderboards: one for total verified impact, and one for impact intensity, which weighs output against company size so a focused mid-market provider can rank beside a global giant. Every activity is mapped to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Scores, rankings, and verification status are set editorially from public evidence and are not for sale. No firm can pay to be listed, ranked, or verified.
The full methodology is published at csr.outsourceaccelerator.com/methodology for public scrutiny. Firms already in the index can claim their profile and rank, and those not yet included can add their work at no charge. Outsource Accelerator will publish the OIR as an annual benchmark, culminating in the OIR Awards.
