Overview

Company Overview

Intelcia is a Casablanca-headquartered outsourcing group that provides customer experience, business process and IT services, primarily to French-, Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking markets, with a growing English-speaking business. It describes itself as having 40,000 employees and, in its April 2026 release, as present in 19 countries and serving 350+ clients. Its homepage refers to 25 years of innovation, and platform records give 2000 as its founding year.

From regional player to multi-service group: Intelcia's own account of the past decade is one of rapid expansion. Over nearly ten years under Altice's majority ownership, it grew from 3 to 19 countries, multiplied its global revenue tenfold, and by seven among clients outside the Altice Group, and launched an IT services business in 2019 that now employs nearly 1,000 engineers. It reports places in the global Top 15 of customer experience providers, the Top 5 in the Spanish market and the Top 3 in the French and Portuguese markets.

Positioning: Intelcia competes with the large francophone and Iberian CX providers, such as Teleperformance, Concentrix, Majorel and Atento; it has recruited senior staff from the last three. Its differentiation lies in its Moroccan and African delivery base, which offers French-language nearshore capacity for France and Belgium at lower cost than onshore delivery, combined with a large onshore presence in Portugal, Spain and France that allows it to serve telecom and utility clients locally.

2026: a new ownership chapter: In April 2026 Intelcia confirmed the closing of its management buyout. Its executive shareholders acquired the 65% stake held by Altice since 2016, bringing the company into full independent ownership, in the company's own words. Management has set a public ambition of entering the global Top 10 as a multi-service outsourcer by 2030, through selective acquisitions in Europe and Latin America and the build-out of its IT arm, Intelcia Tech.

Outsource Accelerator's directory profile describes a multilingual workforce spanning 17 countries, a figure that matches Intelcia's homepage but predates the 19 countries cited in its 2026 releases.

Services & Capabilities

Intelcia now presents itself as a multi-service outsourcer built on three pillars: customer experience, AI-enabled services and IT expertise.

  • CX solutions: customer care, technical support, sales and lead generation, back-office processing and complaints handling, delivered across voice and digital channels in multiple languages. This remains the core of the business by headcount.
  • Business services: Outsource Accelerator's directory profile lists plug-and-play business services, including payroll, alongside the CX offer.
  • IT services (Intelcia Tech / Intelcia IT Solutions): a business line launched in 2019 with nearly 1,000 engineers, which the company says places it among the Top 100 IT service providers in the French market. Management describes the goal as supporting clients across the entire value chain, from infrastructure to applications, including cybersecurity, data and cloud.

Retail and field roles: Current postings show service lines that go beyond the contact centre. In Portugal Intelcia is hiring telecommunications store assistants at the Mar Shopping Algarve centre in Loulé and in Castelo Branco, and in Meknes it is hiring technical advisers for home appliances. These roles indicate that Intelcia staffs physical retail points and specialist technical support for clients, a model that deepens relationships with telecom and consumer goods clients but carries different economics from offshore voice work.

Diversification as strategy: The IT business is strategically important for two reasons. First, it moves Intelcia into higher-value work less exposed to automation of simple customer contacts. Second, it gives the group a cross-selling route, since its CX clients in telecoms, utilities and retail also buy cloud, data and cybersecurity services. In October 2025 Intelcia IT Solutions was recruiting pre-hire interns in Casablanca.

Intelcia's IT business remains small relative to its CX operation, but it is anchored in markets where the group already ranks among the leading CX providers.

Client Base & Market Position

Intelcia reports serving 350+ clients. Its largest historical client relationship was with the Altice Group, its former majority shareholder: the company states that over nearly a decade its revenue grew tenfold overall but sevenfold among clients outside the Altice Group, which implies Altice companies were a meaningful part of the base and that diversification away from them has been a priority.

Named clients: Intelcia has publicly named Iberdrola, the Spanish utility, as a client: the two won the Bronze Award for Best BPO Partnership at the European Contact Centre and Customer Service Awards in London for Intelcia's Spanish activities. Through the takeover of Coriolis Service, a customer relationship specialist founded in 1999 that managed 15 million consumers on behalf of various brands, Intelcia added further French telecom and consumer work.

Market standing: Intelcia says it ranks in the Top 3 in the French and Portuguese markets and the Top 5 in Spain, and that it has joined the global Top 15 in customer experience. In December 2024 Frost & Sullivan recognised it as a leading CX management player in Europe. These rankings describe a provider that is a major force in Southern European and francophone markets but still a second-tier participant globally, which is the gap its 2030 Top 10 ambition is designed to close.

English-speaking markets: Historically weaker in English-language work, Intelcia has been building that business through Latin America and Egypt. Its Egyptian operation serves offshore and nearshore clients across the U.S., Europe and the Gulf region. A dedicated region for the Americas and English-speaking markets is led by Mohamed Slimani.

Competitive landscape: Senior hires from Concentrix, Atento and Majorel show who Intelcia competes with for talent and clients. All three have strong positions in Spanish- or French-language CX, the same markets where Intelcia ranks among the leading providers.

Delivery Infrastructure & Operations

Intelcia's footprint spans Africa, the Indian Ocean, Europe, the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean. Its homepage lists operations in Morocco, France, Spain, Portugal, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Madagascar, Mauritius, the United States, Colombia and Egypt, and the Coriolis integration added an offshore site in Tunisia.

Morocco: The home base and the main francophone nearshore hub. Current postings include B2B and general sales advisers in Casablanca and Dutch- and French-speaking sales advisers in Meknes. Dutch-language work from Morocco broadens its language range beyond French.

France: The Coriolis integration increased Intelcia's sites in France to 10, spread between Dreux, Charleville-Mézières, Marseille, Lyon, Orléans, Champs-sur-Marne, Amiens, Laval, Angers and Neuilly-sur-Seine, with a total of 4,000 employees. Onshore French capacity matters for clients with regulatory or customer-preference requirements to keep work in France; a current posting for a customer adviser in Amiens shows that network still hiring.

Portugal and Spain: Portugal is a major onshore operation. Current roles include inbound customer support in Castelo Branco, technical support in Viseu, contact centre assistants in Lisbon on a 14h to 23h shift, commercial roles in Coimbra and telecom retail staff. Spain is served from a sizeable onshore operation that supports clients such as Iberdrola.

Egypt: In April 2025 Intelcia inaugurated a regional headquarters in Egypt. It said the opening would generate 1,300 new direct jobs and that it aims to double its Egyptian workforce to 4,000 employees by 2026, offering services in seven languages. Intelcia describes Egypt as a strategic regional hub, and it gives the group a multilingual base for US, European and Gulf clients.

Indian Ocean and Sub-Saharan Africa: Madagascar is an important francophone offshore location; current Antananarivo postings include an IT technician, a call-centre trainer and a quality and training manager. Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Mauritius add further French-speaking capacity.

Hiring scale: The platform tracks 41 open roles, and in December 2025 Intelcia advertised 100 open positions in customer relations and sales in Morocco alone.

Ownership, Financials & Scale

Ownership: Intelcia is privately held and, since April 2026, owned by its management team. The company confirmed on 28 April 2026 the official closing of its management buyout, in which its executive shareholders acquired the 65% stake held by Altice since 2016, securing 100% ownership by the Intelcia management team. The agreement had been announced in November 2025, when Patrick Drahi's Altice agreed to sell its majority stake as part of a continuing programme of Altice asset sales.

What the change means: Altice was both shareholder and a major client. The buyout removes a parent whose own financial pressures shaped its asset decisions, and gives management direct control over capital allocation. Intelcia has said that full ownership gives it the freedom and agility to pursue its 2030 ambition. The trade-off is that the group no longer has a large corporate shareholder behind it, so the acquisitions it plans in Europe and Latin America must be funded from its own cash flow or new financing, and its client relationships with Altice companies now sit outside a shareholder relationship.

Financials: No company-published revenue figure for Intelcia was found. The company reports that its global revenue grew tenfold over its period under Altice ownership.

Scale: Intelcia reports 40,000 employees and presence in 19 countries, serving 350+ clients. Earlier platform records also put the workforce at 40,000. Outsource Accelerator's directory profile describes a workforce spanning 17 countries.

People, Leadership & Culture

Leadership: Karim Bernoussi is CEO and co-founder of Intelcia. Outsource Accelerator's directory profile credits him with transforming a local Moroccan contact centre into a global outsourcing group. Announcing the buyout agreement, he thanked Altice for its support over nearly ten years and said the group's ambition was to become a global top 10 player. Youssef El Aoufir is Deputy CEO and co-founder; his stated focus after the closing is accelerating AI and technology integration across the entire offer.

The co-founders' continued leadership after 25 years, now combined with full ownership, gives Intelcia an unusually stable top team for a group of its size. The risk that comes with it is concentration: strategy, capital allocation and succession all rest with a small founding group.

Regional and functional leaders: Mohamed Slimani is CEO of the Americas and English-speaking markets region, the part of the business Intelcia most needs to grow to reach its Top 10 goal. Amine Trabelsi is Chief Technology Officer and led the Google Cloud data platform programme. Platform records also list Naoual Chichaoui as Group Chief Human Resources Officer and Carla Marques as CEO of Intelcia Portugal, reflecting a country-led structure for the largest markets.

Talent movement: Over the past 24 months the platform recorded three senior arrivals, from Concentrix, Atento and Majorel, and no recorded senior departures.

Employer reputation: Intelcia has invested in employer branding. It says it was the first outsourcer certified as a Top Employer in Morocco, and Intelcia Spain has been named among Forbes' 100 best companies to work for. In a sector with high frontline attrition, these certifications support recruitment in competitive labour markets such as Casablanca and Lisbon. Under its global technology partnership, the company says it has deployed AI-powered productivity tools across the organisation for its 40,000 employees.

Technology & Innovation

Intelcia's technology strategy has three strands: an internal innovation hub for CX automation, a group-wide data platform, and the external IT services business.

Evoluciona: Intelcia's innovation hub dedicated to customer experience leads the deployment of AI across its operations. According to Deputy CEO Youssef El Aoufir, it is supported by more than 30 strategic partnerships and a team of 60 consultants, and in 2025 its solutions were integrated into more than 180 projects. A partnership-led model of this kind lets a mid-sized provider assemble AI capability from vendors rather than building proprietary platforms, which keeps investment manageable but makes differentiation harder.

MyData on Google Cloud: In July 2025 Intelcia and Google Cloud announced MyData, an enterprise-wide data platform built on Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery and Looker. The company reported that data freshness for telephony performance indicators improved by 30 minutes, and that its ConverseQuery AI chatbot produced 11,600 automated responses. The platform matters because consistent operational data across 19 countries is a precondition for selling analytics and AI-driven services to clients.

Workforce productivity: Through a global partnership with a leading technology company, Intelcia says it has deployed AI-powered productivity solutions across the entire organisation.

Intelcia Tech: The IT services arm, with nearly 1,000 engineers, covers infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, data and cloud. Management intends to build it into a full-spectrum IT services player. It is the most important lever in the group's attempt to shift its revenue mix toward higher-value work.

Assessment: Intelcia's approach is pragmatic rather than platform-led, a choice the company itself describes as investing heavily in AI and technology with a pragmatic approach. That suits its mid-market and Southern European client base, but leaves it competing on integration skill and cost rather than on proprietary technology against larger rivals with their own AI products.

Strategic Assessment

Strengths

  • Language and location mix: French-language nearshore capacity in Morocco, Madagascar and West Africa combined with onshore operations in France, Spain and Portugal.
  • Strong regional rankings: Top 3 in the French and Portuguese markets, Top 5 in Spain and global Top 15, by its own account.
  • Aligned ownership: Management owns 100% after the April 2026 buyout, with the co-founders still leading the group.
  • Diversification into IT: Nearly 1,000 engineers in Intelcia Tech provide a route into higher-value services.

Risks and Vulnerabilities

  • Funding the ambition: Without a corporate parent, the planned acquisitions toward a 2030 Top 10 position depend on its own resources and financing.
  • Former-parent exposure: Revenue outside the Altice Group grew more slowly (sevenfold versus tenfold overall), showing historical reliance on Altice companies as clients.
  • Competition for talent and clients: It recruits senior staff from, and competes for francophone and Iberian work with, Concentrix, Atento and Majorel.
  • Founder concentration: Strategy and succession rest with a small founding group.

Opportunities

  • English-speaking growth: Egypt's planned growth to 4,000 employees and its Americas region open US, UK and Gulf markets.
  • Acquisitions in Europe and Latin America: Its stated buy-and-build plan could add scale in markets it already knows.
  • AI services for clients: Evoluciona, more than 180 AI projects in 2025 and the MyData platform give it material to sell automation and analytics to existing clients.
