Bulacan Mega City and Techno hub set to create 100,000 Jobs
A PHP50bn mega city and techno hub is to be a development priority in the Bulacan province, part of the Philippines Central Luzon Region. As envisaged, the site’s techno hub will house a range of call centers, manufacturing facilities, retail outlets, a shopping mall, factory outlets, and warehousing.
The project, to be developed in partnership with Chinese investors, will occupy a 400-hectare site comprising three towns and is expected to generate up to 100,000 jobs. Although local officials and their Chinese partners are yet to agree the final project timeline, it is expected that work will begin on the multibillion-peso project shortly, with the official ground-breaking ceremony pencilled in for early next year.
