Accenture study shows mobile computing a security risk
According to a survey report by management firm Accenture, mobile computing will increase cyber security risks for organizations. A newly-published global security survey of 1,460 executives, showed that 74%, or 1,080 respondents, believed that mobile computing will moderately or significantly increase cyber risk. They cited artificial intelligence as the greatest security risk at 86%. The survey also showed that 86%, or 1,256 respondents, said the amount of sensitive or confidential data exchange will increase over the next three years. Only 41% of respondents said the data exchanged is adequately protected by their cybersecurity strategy. Accenture said with the proliferation of more sensitive data, expanding connectivity, and the adoption of automated processes, C-suite and IT decision makers need to embrace a different approach to cybersecurity to protect against future cyber risks effectively.
